Welcome toCaboolture Container Recycling

Since starting upon the commencement of the Container Refund Scheme in 2018, we have collected and recycled over 150,000,000 containers, putting over $15,000,000 back into the local community.
It’s just proof that we don’t waste time counting your empties. So start collecting today, you’ll be surprised how quickly it can all add up.

Walk Out With Cash

We have machines that can sort up to 400 containers per minute. But please do not crush your containers, or remove any labels and no lids or contaminants.
Repack cans and stubbies back into their cartons to make your visit even quicker.
No need to separate or pre-count containers.
A lot of containers are eligible, but some won’t be – just look for the 10 cents Refund symbol to find the ones that pay.

Most aluminium, glass, plastic, steel, and liquid paperboard beverage containers between 150ml and 3L: are eligible for a 10 cent refund.
Eligible containers must:
- Be included on the scheme’s list of products. Use our eligibility checker below to ensure your containers are eligible.
- Display the refund mark (e.g “10c refund at collection depots/points in participating State/Territory of purchase”.)

There are some beverage containers that are not eligible for a fund. Generally excluded containers are those that are less than 150ml and greater than 3L.
Excluded containers include:
- Plain milk containers of all sizes including plant-based milk substitutes.
- Containers 1L or more that contained flavoured milk, pure fruit or vegetable juice, cask wine or cask water.
- Concentrated/undiluted cordial or syrup containers
- Sachets above 250ml that have contained wine
- Registered health tonics
